Coinciding with the arrival of the Olympic torch into the city, Bristol Urban Sport explores the relationship between the fabric of the city and sport over the last 200 years. The exhibition reveals how the people of Bristol have manipulated both the natural landscape and man-made architecture for sporting activity. Displays of photography, memorabilia, objects and film give focus to four themes...
Personal Expression looks at how individuals challenge the structure of Bristol's Cityscape, finding new perspectives through sport.
Bristol Sporting Events places the spotlight on past and present events that grasp the imagination of people and make the city pause.
Our Sporting Places examines how individuals or groups have been able to shape Bristol land to create their very own sporting venue.
My Sporting Community discusses the way grassroots sports and clubs can bring neighbourhoods in Bristol together.
