Bristol Eye Project
People say the eyes are the windows to the soul, and like
a fingerprint, are unique to everyone else on the planet. With this
in mind, the Bristol Eye Project set out to create a different
photographic portrait of the people of Bristol - one that could be
seen as a statement of collective identity.
By focusing only on the unique qualities found in an individual
eye, the project provided an opportunity to celebrate the
community's innate similarities, freed from the constraints of
social markers like age, gender, heritage and postcode.
