M Shed main entrance

M Shed is fully accessible to wheelchair users.  There is level access throughout and lifts to all floors. These lifts are designated fire evacuation lifts and have tactile buttons and spoken floor announcements.

Parking
Parking spaces for Blue Badge holders in the Wapping Wharf Car Park. Drop-off and pick up point for Taxis at the Wapping Road entrance.


Wheelchairs
Wheelchairs are available on loan from Reception.


Wheelchair Accessible toilets
There are wheelchair accessible toilets on the Ground Floor and Second Floor as well as the M Shed Café.  Changing facilities for adult disabled people on the Ground Floor.

Audio Information for visually impaired visitors
Visually impaired visitors can loan PenFriend (talking pens) to access audio information about the displays.  There are also tactile maps of Bristol and other exhibits that can be handled in many of the galleries. All lifts have tactile buttons and spoken floor announcements.

Induction loop
Hearing impaired visitors will find induction loops at M Shed reception, café, the Studio, Events Suite and on exhibits with audio in the galleries. Many of the films and video clips in the galleries have subtitles and transcripts of oral histories are available.
