Discover: Art (Critical Studies) (1-2 hour workshop)
Venue: Bristol Museum & Art Gallery
Explore our Art collections and learn more about both the art and the artist. This session supports the development of critical appreciation skills and encourages the exploration of ideas and meanings.
Bristol & Transatlantic Slavery (Half day workshop)
Venue: M Shed
Examine Bristol's involvement in Transatlantic Slavery by selecting from a menu of resources including a visit to both the galleries and a taught workshop at Bristol's new M Shed museum. Your students will develop skills including how to use and evaluate both primary and secondary sources of evidence, gain an understanding of cause and consequence and explore a diversity of points of view.
Bristol at War: The Home Front (Half day workshop)
Venue: M Shed
On 24th November 1940 Bristol city centre was blitzed and a quarter of the medieval city destroyed. Find out more about everyday life on the Bristol Home Front and how ordinary people coped with extraordinary circumstances. The Port of Bristol (Half day workshop)
