M Shed has over 100 volunteers who play a vital role in the running of Bristol's new flagship museum. They contribute in different ways and through their time, energy and skills place M Shed at the heart of Bristol's cultural life.

Being actively involved at M Shed is a fulfilling way to spend your time, to develop your skills and to meet new people.

Get in touch whether you are retired, a student, a professional or looking for something new and interesting to do. We welcome volunteers from all backgrounds to bring a wealth of experiences and outlooks to the service.

'It's so satisfying to have played a part in creating this fantastic museum. I'm looking forward to getting involved in other aspects of M Shed's work in the future.'  (Mike Bradley, M Shed volunteer)

Come to our celebration! Friday 23 March, 5-8pm

Whether you are an active volunteer or want to find out more about volunteering with Bristol's Museums, places are still available for the Volunteer Celebration at M Shed.

Meet other volunteers and staff over a glass of wine, hear about volunteering highlights and find out what new opportunities are on the horizon. Julie Finch Director of Bristol Museums Galleries and Archives will be there to thank our volunteers for all the fantastic work they do.

Join us on the evening of Friday 23rd at M Shed 5 until 8pm for refreshments and a fun, pub-style quiz to test your knowledge about Bristol. Tell us your ideas for volunteering in the future, share your experiences and take the opportunity to ask questions.

Most of all this is a time to mingle, meet new people and chat to other people who volunteer or wish to volunteer with us.

Partners are also welcome. Please contact before Friday 16th March to let us know you're coming, and so you don't miss out! Email
